Here are some of my exercises so far for 317 exercise 1 and exercise 2&3
I have to finish exercise 4 today, and show my rough ideas for project one.

309 We’re working on project 2. buttons in flash (which is still kind of confusing) and we’re going to add sound to it. We’re using all text, transitions and buttons to lead us to new scenes. I’ve got my main piece all set. 30 names and some hierarchy attached to them, with specific fonts for certain people as well as colors.
414 I created a identity for myself it’s similar to the CMYK connecting circle design. I always have been interested in the way the colors interact. As a photographer when I’d print in the color darkroom there were 4 knobs to turn (CMYK) and using those and working that way kinda started my interest in the way 4 colors make such the variety.
This weekend!!! Tim, my boyfriend, and I are going on a mini vacation up to Kingston, Ontario. (For my birthday) It’s my second home and I can’t wait! We’re staying in the Confederation Place Hotel, in the King room, lake view, and a 3-4 person jacuzzi in the living space. SWEET! I made sure I picked a place with the best location. It’s right at the heart of downtown Kingston. That city is big but not too big. If things worked out to where I could live there and the timing was right, I’d definitely go for it. Since I was three my summers consisted of going there for at least 4 weeks out of how many ever weeks were in a school’s summer vacation. They just built an area for an outdoor skating rink. I’m definitely going to drag Tim to that. I’ve always wanted to skate outside, be it Syracuse, Buffalo, NYC, everywhere I’ve been that has one, I’ve never done it! There’s also an Art and Craft fair going on at one of the malls. Woo.
I researched some new restaurants that I’ve never been to or heard of. I found a lot of interesting breakfast/brunch places. It’ll be fun to live large all weekend.
MISERABLE, or something similar.
Luckily I don’t own any Oswego gear like a sweatshirt, key chain lanyard or any of that crap because I’m not too happy with the school. I was mis advised and I am missing 18 credits. That’s not a small mistake… that’s 6 classes. and I was advised this way– in order to graduate in the summer I’d need to add on 3 more credits to my internship and take on an independent study for 3 credits making my current semester at 19 credits. Overload, more than my 18 credits last semester. and I’d then take a 9 credit internship and a summer class. That would allow me to graduate in August.
After the shock sank in I decided to go for it. All weekend long I was miserable and decided that was a TERRIBLE idea. I need to focus on my classes and do well in them, not just do mediocre. I cant find 18 hours in the week for my internship and 18 hours of classes and then outside of class work time. AND have somewhat of a social life. I’d be at school constantly. I can’t do that. So I guess I’ll try the 9 credit internship over the summer and a summer class and finish up 2 classes in the fall.
Great. I’m going to have a word with someone in 703 Culkin. They should pay for my extra time here. heh. mainly because it’s an inconvenience to me.
It’s all a bunch of bullshit. Screw my after school plans right now.
Don’t get me wrong I love school and I love learning but I seriously thought I was done. and my advisor did too, until she found her mistake.
309- My first flash project is done. I finally finished the shopper. I didn’t have time to slow it down because I got a FLAT TIRE (my luck lately) awesome. She’s just a speedy shopper.
317- first assignment is being handed out and we’re doing image slicing 101 today.
414- I’ve asked Tim to give me all of his ideas for his CD cover ideas because all of my research is due.
Tonight Katrina and I are carpooling to the “speed date” RIT meet and greet ish thing with graphic designers/photographers in the area. I’m driving. Should be a good time.
I think thats about it for now. Wish I had time for a nap..

You guys should probably click these links and see what I’m making. I’m pretty excited to finish the ex2. I’m going to have the woman walk up to a bunch of bananas and pick one. That one will be the happy banana. I’ll eventually make the wheels of the cart spin.
414- We were assigned our projects, I’m doing a CD cover for Tim, my boyfriend. Also I’m doing a travel brochure, or three. I’m also going to pump out some more postcards with that project. Jamie Riggs and I are going to work on the art department client project together making a stand/showcase for the postcards to sit on. We’ve got a few different ideas.
317- I’ve done pretty well getting my first website working with the html and all. I can’t wait to upload it to show people. haha. Not that half of them will care about the questions on it but just to have my own space, that I made. Thats the neat thing.
Internship- I meet with Kelly Roe today to fill out paperwork for my internship and I meet with Michelle at OOC (Operation Oswego County) to get my first assignment. I’m pretty excited to have the ability to go into industrious places in Oswego County and photograph them. I’ll probably lug my gigantic tripod around with me too just in case there are low lighting situations.
