On Saturday, Tim and I slept in a little bit (like ten am), we stopped at a garage sale and then headed over to Just Donuts! It’s relatively new small business in the next town over that makes the most amazing donuts! You’ll have to visit their page to see just how many awesome flavors they have! I got the maple bacon donut and Tim got the Fruity Pebbles donut!
After our donut adventure we hung out at home for a bit before our apple “picking” adventure. We headed to Beak and Skiff Apple Orchard to get apples and to check out all of their new additions to the property since my visit last year for an engagement session. There was gin, vodka, hard cider and apple wine to sample! I sampled the gin which was OK, not worth the price for the taste, and the hard cider! We ended up getting a bottle of hard cider as well as apples from the bins inside because the picking line looked like an hour wait.
It was super busy everywhere which was good for them, but hard for a photographer and to do much of anything, we decided instead of waiting 20-30 minutes in line for their new cafe we would grab some food elsewhere! We decided to check out Cantina Laredo, a new(ish) Mexican restaurant at the mall! We happened to meet the GM of the restaurant while we were out celebrating after our wedding! He and his wife are new(ish) to town so it was nice to make a connection with them! I definitely see food and beer in our future with our new friends! The food at Cantina Laredo was amazing and the drinks were as well! We’d definitely head back there sometime!
Oh, and if anyone wants to know, I bought the Sigma 35mm 1.4 (chosen purposely over Canon’s version) and used it to shoot these!
