I asked my bridesmaids to tell me about their memories of my wedding and Katie wrote this for me. It was so nice to read her perspective and laugh a lot! I was a bridesmaid in Katie’s November 2011 wedding! It was in Illinois, right outside of St.Louis MO., and it was an amazing weekend! Jenn shot the wedding and did an amazing job alone! Sure, she probably wont do that ever again, but I was proud of her taking the lead for me to boogie down with Katie and her friends and family!
This is a statement starting with the hang over before and after the wedding. I arrived early to the rehearsal pulling up along side Jenn, her man, and savanna at an intersection close by the gallery. I opened my window and yelled. Where are we going?! She led us to to place to park. I waited and stood behind everyone in sweet anticipation of the big day. We went through the motions and practiced our cues and then made our way through the rehearsal. It was so wonderful. After at the dinner , The drinks were flowing and the food was great. I had the most wonderful experience to meet the family and friends of there’s that I never met and never will forget. We drank and where merry. It was packed full of love and stories. After we left the rehearsal we went to a great micro bar and we drank some more. From there things got foggy. Dart games. Hugs and love and goodbyes till the next day. Uggggh the next day I woke with the worst hang over ever!!! I got up showered and tried my best to put on a happy face. I was one of the first to get my hair done. It looked great. Tim’s mom totally hooked me up with some sort of hang over cure and I was back to my Gross and farty self. By the way that home was gorgeous! We all got ready and done up and took pictures. It was musty out and cloudy but it was canceled out by how fucking perfect and gorgeous Sarah was glowing. She gave me goosebumps and I couldn’t help but feel wonderful for the days event. She was calm, funny and collected. We traveled for pictures and had more beer which inevitably let to my constant tears from the wedding itself. The music and the vows were perfect and were so moving. I couldn’t help but cry. Make up touch up after led to the actual reception. Holy crap, what can I say?It was a foodgasm -partygasm! BBQ and twerking can sum it all up. My only regret is to have had enough stamina to make it the entire night. Tim was wonderful, Sarah was beautiful and the night was perfect. This is my memory of one of my greatest friends wedding. I blacked out so fill me in on the rest.
There were so many meets and greets in between I can’t put into words. The love, friendship and family bonds I experienced in between are indescribable. You have both a wonderful married family and friendships that can be treasure a lifetime!
